Had a great day considering I didn't get up until midday. I cleaned all the house, hand washed a load of clothing and towels (no washing machine presently) made a meat ball dinner with pasta and watched episode after episode of Frasier. Not laughed like this for ages. As I type I'm on the last series. Frasier is currently dressed as a clown, with a cleaver. Frasier's father has just had a heart attack!!! Ok, a cardiac event.
I have trimmed my bush (the lavender, behave!) and bagged up all the garden rubbish.
Here are some pictures to celebrate a fun day off.

Looks like you have had an enjoyable, but productive day. There's a lot of bottles for recycling. I hope it is a slow build up, rather than one night's worth!
A very busy day. I'm impressed with the empty bottle collection, & your expertise with the vacuum cleaner (everytime you say hoovering you are advertising a make other than the one you were using). And hand washing? Wow, that's not easy when it's towels. Do you want to borrow my vintage wash tub, wash board & ponch? I occasionally used them in the summer, & they get clothes really clean & are easier than doing it by hand. All you'd need is a proper mangle, which gets clothes dryer than any fancy washing machine I think. I'm cross with my washing machine, as when I was busy stuffing sheets into it this afternoon, I pulled a muscle in my back, so now I'm in pain. Did I get any sympathy? Not much, though Steve did give me a huge glass of port.
Sounds like a perfect day to me - the ordinary and mundane can be so satisfying.
Which is lucky really !!
Where have you been?
That's a nice positive post as usual. But, Phil, I'm going to have to take you to task over your supper. You really must stir the sauce through the pasta!!
