Brown Bettys re-discovered on St James Street

Just a brief blog today from the best venue yet: Brown Bettys on St James Street. A compact little deli run by very friendly people at very reasonable prices. This place has been on the Nottingham scene for a fair while and gets packed at times with queues pouring out of the door. Today it was pretty full and I had a lovely salad with tomatoes that actually tasted of something. I would certainly go back again. Nothing witty or inventive to add today. Just a five star recommendation and check out their website. http://www.brownbettys.co.uk/.

PS: If you an early bird and just want a bacon sandwich. They do stop serving breakfast items at 11am.

Passed by here today. They still had the breakfast menu boards outside at 1PM, I got all excited unil I got to the bit that said until 11AM. Definitely somewhere I have to visit!

Malt Cross just over St. James St. is worth a visit too...

Cheers NickB. Yep good place to visit for sure. I like the Malt Cross too and probably need to quizz them about their offerings today. I remember the place being a Christian tavern way back in my student years (end 1980's.)They never over-did the Christian bit either, just served good food at very good prices.
